There are over 14 million acres of wilderness areas in the state already. By contrast, public lands, available for development in the California Desert, are less than 1%. Our Nation's economy needs additional public lands for recreation, infrastructure upgrading, renewable and non-renewable resource exploration and development.
More wilderness closes all options for the future of our public lands.
The one thing our public lands needs more than anything right now is: BALANCE.
