                          HOH INDIAN TRIBE

                       Ordinance No. 08-02-83

An ordinance pertaining to the Solid Waste Program on the Hoh Indian
Reservation.

WHEREAS, the Hoh Tribal Business Committee as the governing body of the
         Hoh Indian Tribe has the authority under the Constitution,
         approved July 19, 1969, in accordance with Article IV, and;

WHEREAS, the Hoh Tribal Business Committee is the governing body of the
         Hoh Indian Tribe and has the power under the Constitution of
         the Hoh Indian Tribe, pursuant to Article IV, Section (a) to
         consult, negotiate, contract or conclude agreements with
         Federal, State and local governments and others, on behalf of
         the tribe and advise with their representatives on all
         activities which may effect the tribe, and;

WHEREAS, The Hoh Tribal Business Committee feels that for the health
         and welfare of the Hoh Indian residents of the Hoh Indian
         Tribe there is a need for the solid waste program to be
         implemented on the Hoh Reservation, and;

WHEREAS, the Hoh Indian Tribe will hereby enforce the foregoing
         amendment to be included in the Law & Order Code of the Hoh
         Indian Tribe, and;

WHEREAS, this amendment will be enforced immediately after approval and
         should reads as follows:
         According to the Solid Waste Program on the Hoh Indian
         Reservation the following fines will be changed against
         Indians living on the Hoh Indian Reservation.

         Any person residing in the household of the Hoh Indian
         Reservation 3 months behind on payment for the Solid Waste
         Program and caught caught dumping waste at the disposal site
         or anywhere on the reservation will be charged and fined as
         follows:

         First Offense                     $25.00
         Second Offense                    $50.00
         Third Offense / court Cost +     $100.00

The foregoing ordinance was passed at a Hoh Tribal Business Committee
that was held on 11 DAY of August, 1983 at which time a quorum was
present, by a vote of 3 FOR, 0 AGAINST and 0 OBSTAINED.
