Projects & Plans - Steps 1 and 3 - New Inventory Maps (October 2007)

Step 1 and 3 - New Inventory Maps

These maps show all routes that have been inventoried on the Forest. These distinguish between routes which are currently part of the baseline system, as well as routes that are currently non-system. Routes that were not on the October 1, 2007 Proposed Action maps for addition to the system, have a different line type and are labeled with a route number. Please reference the map legend for details.

Note: These low-resolution map files are large files, and may take extended download times. You may request a copy of the high-resolution maps on CD from the Inyo National Forest. Please contact the Inyo National Forest at 760-873-2400 or e-mail your request to comments-pacificsouthwest-inyo@fs.fed.us. Please note that you can save the downloaded file to your computer by clicking on File and Save As on the Toolbar. Map Viewing and Printing Instructions: The maps are in PDF format and are viewable and printable with Adobe Acrobat Reader. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can view specific areas and routes by using the magnifying glass or zoom in feature, the pan tool allows you to move around the map.

PRINTING TIPS :

  1. When printing from Adobe Reader: If all items do not print, try selecting 'print as image' in your print dialog box.
  2. Sections of the pdf map may be enlarged and printed with Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 as follows: Use the magnifying glass button (Zoom In Tool) to enlarge the area you want to print. Click on the camera button (Snapshot Tool). On the map, click and drag a box over the area you want to enlarge. Go to File, Print and in the Print window, choose Selected Graphic and then go to Page Scaling options and choose Fit to Paper. Click OK to print. Go to Adobe Acrobat Reader Help for detailed information to open, navigate, and print PDF files using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Printing full size copies of these maps will require a large scale printer. Private printing services may be the best option for printing if full scale maps are needed. Full-size versions of these maps for viewing and CD copies are available at most Inyo National Forest offices. Before you begin reviewing our proposed system of routes, please read the guidance section about how to best use the maps and other Proposed Action documents.
