Bishop, CA (February 4, 2009)...The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Motorized Travel Management on the Inyo National Forest, formerly known as Route Designation, is now available for public review and comment. The 60-day comment period ends March 31, 2009.

All information on how to comment, the chapters of the DEIS and all maps are located on the Inyo National Forest Website at www.fs.fed.us/r5/inyo.   CDs are also available by calling 873-2449.

REMINDER ABOUT UPCOMING PUBLIC MEETINGS AND DROP-IN SESSIONS

In order to help the public understand the contents of the DEIS and the maps, the Forest Service will be holding a series of public meetings and drop-in sessions over the next few weeks. 

All public meetings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
