BLM's Bakersfield Resource Management Plan Revision
Socioeconomic Workshops Announced


The Bureau of Land Management's Bakersfield Field Office will
host two public workshops in April for local community leaders
who want to explore the issue of the changing local economy and
its relationship to public lands.

Issues for discussion include, but are not limited to:
1) The socioeconomic profile of local counties based on the
Economic Profile System;
2) The current role of public lands in the local economy,
including market and non-market values;
3) Visions for the future of the local communities and the role
of public lands in this vision.

The workshops will be held at the following locations:
April 15, 2-4:30 pm Bakersfield Bureau of Land Management
3801 Pegasus Dr , Bakersfield

April 16, 2-4:30 pm Lake Isabella Veterans Hall/Senior Center
6405 lake Isabella Bl, Lake Isabella
