Notice of public tour. Meeting of the Central California Resource Advisory Council
Feb , 2008 - The public tour will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the
Clear Creek Management Area, which comprises 63,000 acres of BLM public
lands in southern San Benito and western Fresno counties, California.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the tour, but must provide
their own transportation and lunch. Those who wish to attend the tour
should meet at the Oak Flat Campground, located on Clear Creek Road off
Coalinga-Los Gatos Road, at 10 a.m. The tour should conclude at about 4
p.m. The event may be postponed to a later date if there is inclement
weather. To confirm the tour will take place as planned, call the BLM
Hollister Field Office at (831) 630-5000.

Feb 21, 2008 - The Forest Supervisor of the Dixie National Forest gives
notice of intent to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement to
address potential effects of a proposed project by Garkane Energy
Cooperative (Garkane) to construct, operate and maintain a 138 kilovolt
(kV) electric transmission line requiring a Special Use Authorization,
Grant of Right-of-Way, and/or Special Use Permit for a Right-of-Way.

Feb 04, 2008 - On November 28, 2007, the USDA Forest Service announced its
intent to prepare a travel planning environmental impact statement
(EIS). The proposed action would designate a site-specific
transportation system and prohibit indiscriminate cross-country
traffic. The EIS will analyze the effects of the proposed action and
alternatives. A Revised Notice was published to extend the due date for
scoping comments to January 11, 2008. This Revised Notice is being
published because the due date for scoping comments has been extended
to February 29, 2008.
