Alaska Native Claims Selection

AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Interior.

ACTION: Notice of decision approving lands for conveyance.

SUMMARY: As required by 43 CFR 2650.7(d), notice is hereby given that=20
an appealable decision approving the surface and subsurface estates in=20
certain lands for conveyance pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims=20
Settlement Act and the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act,=20
will be issued to Bering Straits Native Corporation. The lands are in=20
the vicinity of Nome, Alaska, named Glacial Lake, and are located in:

Kateel River Meridian, Alaska

T. 7 S., R. 35 W.,
    Secs. 11, 14, 24, and 26;
    Secs. 34, 35, and 36.

    Containing 3,529.44 acres.

T. 8 S., R. 35 W.,
    Secs. 1, 2, and 3.

    Containing approximately 1,720.00 acres.

    Aggregating approximately 5,249.44 acres.

    Notice of the decision will also be published four times in the=20
Nome Nugget.

DATES: The time limits for filing an appeal are:
    1. Any party claiming a property interest which is adversely=20
affected by the decision shall have until July 11, 2007 to file an=20
appeal.
    2. Parties receiving service of the decision by certified mail=20
shall have 30 days from the date of receipt to file an appeal.
    Parties who do not file an appeal in accordance with the=20
requirements of 43 CFR Part 4, Subpart E, shall be deemed to have=20
waived their rights.
