AGENCIES: Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Department of the Interior;=20

ACTION: Notice of extension to the call for nominations for appointment=20
or re-appointment of representatives and alternates for five positions=20
on the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Advisory=20
Committee.

SUMMARY: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Forest Service=20
announce an extension to the call for nominations for appointment or=20
reappointment for the following five positions on the Santa Rosa and=20
San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Advisory Committee:=20
representative and alternate for the City of Palm Springs;=20
representative and alternate for a local developer or builder=20
organization; representative and alternate for the City of La Quinta;=20
representative and alternate for a local conservation organization; and=20
representative and alternate for the California Department of Fish and=20
Game or the California Department of Parks and Recreation.

DATES: Nomination applications must be submitted to the address listed=20
below no later than 30 days after the date of publication of this=20
notice in the Federal Register.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The BLM and Forest Service jointly published=20
notice in the Federal Register on April 24, 2006 (71 FR 21039), calling=20
for nominations for appointment or reappointment of representatives and=20
alternates for the five positions listed above. The closing date for=20
submission of nominations was identified as 90 days from the date of=20
publication in the Federal Register. Information regarding=20
qualifications, terms of appointment, and availability of nomination=20
application packages was included in the notice.
